DRiP Releases First Ever Creator Compilation Album, Donating Proceeds to Hurricane Victims
Solana’s biggest art and culture platform takes disruptive first steps into the music industry.
DRiP Haus, a Solana-based creative collectibles platform, has announced the release of its first-ever compilation album. Featuring the work of 13 independent artists, the album spearheads the launch of Volumes, a series dedicated to showcasing music from the wider DRiP community.
DRiP Vol 1 represents a grassroots effort from creatives who sought to challenge traditional industry structures. Meeting through DRiP, the artists envisioned a new way of collaborating to craft professional quality music free from the tropes and influences of existing industry standards.
Executive Producer Hachi Mugen claims the creative process has been empowering all the artists involved, highlighting how creators collaborated effectively to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
“By collaborating and holding each other accountable, we were able to build something meaningful, and that’s exactly what we accomplished with DRiP Music Vol. 1. This project stands as a testament to the power of unity and shared purpose, proving that when artists work together, true innovation and success follow.” - Hachi Mugen, Volumes Executive Producer.
Direct From Artist to Audience
One of Volume’s great differentiators from the mainstream music industry is that listeners enjoy a more raw and unfiltered end product. DRiP’s typical distribution model connects artists directly with their audiences. Bypassing the standards of conventional record labels, DRiP’s distribution method allows for a more organic flow of art between creators and their audiences.
DRiP founder Vibhu Norby argues that this approach highlights how DRiP's can reshape the creator economy and innovate how artistic content is distributed in the modern world.
“Organic co-creation is a key driver for the next-generation of creator platforms. By uniting diverse sounds and visions, DRiP is creating a global platform where artists can share their unique stories in ways that transcend borders and foster new professional connections centered on creativity, collaboration, and mutual respect.” - Vibhu Norby, DRiP founder.
Ex-Kanye Collaborator Designs Album Artwork
Victor Shevchenko designed and created the album’s immersive artwork. Best known for his work as the graphic designer behind the marketing and communication assets for West’s Vultures 1 and the cover artist for Vultures 2, Shevchenko likens DRiP Vol 1’s album artwork to a portal to an unknown world.
“On the cover, the DRiP logo serves as a portal. This portal leads to an unknown future, a new way, through light, vibrations, and music—an immersion into a new world. In the background, you can see a series of other portals, indicating that this is the first but not the last release in this project.” - Victor Shevchenko, Volumes Visual Artist
At launch, the DRiP Vol 1 album will be available to collect using Droplets, DRiP’s native currency. Each track can be collected for 10 Droplets, with the entire album priced at 70 Droplets. Droplets can be purchased within the application, with 1,000 Droplets costing users $1.
All proceeds from the album’s release will be donated to the Hurricanes Helene & Milton Response Fund, providing essential relief for residents who suffered during the recent disasters. Additionally, DRiP and The Giving Block have committed to match all donations, illustrating how art and creativity can directly support storm relief efforts for those in need.
DRiP Volume 1 Artist List: Sentient Shapes, Hachi Mugen, Youknowkeegan, SAEKKO, GENC, Majko, Sk8nSmk, Earth to Eve, ITSREALLYHYMN, Degen Ghosty, Scooby, Keek and Emily Faye.
